Course was unkept, fairways very very poor, we played placing on fairways. Greens where immaculate and quick. Has a look of suffering from lack of money due to covid. The Oaks course was in very good nick.

It was a quiet Sunday afternoon when I played Ribagolf 1 and fully enjoyed it. The course is well maintained and challenging. The greens were perfect and also a challenge. I found the accommodation and facilities simple. And don’t forget to bring your water etc., there is none on the course!

I am becoming concerned by the condition of this golf course, which has deteriorated markedly over the last two years. This year we saw extensive damage from wild boar activity and most of the early fairways were waterlogged, even though there had been virtually no rain in the weeks preceding our visit. This is all a great shame, as underneath this there is a fantastic golf course design, which would stand against anything if only some investment was made in the course. The staff are also unfailingly helpful and friendly. Sadly this has the feel of a course in terminal decline. We would think hard before returning next time.

The course was generally in good condition; although in parts was quite badly damaged from the grazing of wild boar in the area. It is very long and challenging, so probably best suited to lower handicap golfers. For others, playing from the blue tees would be an easier option. Facilities at this course are very limited, which we knew before we played. This would, however, deter some people. The big disappointment for us was the unavailability of golf buggies, which we had reserved for the day. As a consequence of this we had to walk the course in very hot weather, which spoilt the experience for some members of our group. For most people buggies would be essential on this course. Staff in the otherwise modest 'clubhouse' were extremely helpful.
