Montado had a lot of torks, thats fun to see. The course is friendly, wide fairways and in good conditions. Not spectaculair but fun. The last hole (par 3 island green) is a stunner. Apart from the course, the rest of the surroundings (hotel/clubhouse?/etc) are unused an deteriorated, almost look like a call of duty map or abandoned Jurassic Park. We got told there's an investor to get it nice again but that can take a couple years.

Greens not too good as just sanded

Golf do Montado has a great layout with very interesting holes using doglegs, bunkers and water very well. We were very unlucky as the greens had been sanded, so not up to normal standards, but would have been excellent. The hotel is apparently going to undergo renovation but right now is not used and the clubhouse is only a small wooden hut and an office. So there is no catering available.
