Torre Terras da Comporta Golf Course
Torre is Sergio García's first full solo design, set in a 365-hectare pine forest near Comporta, an hour south of Lisbon on the edge of the Sado Estuary. Opened in 2025, the par-72 course runs to 6,575 metres from the back tees, and García built it with Valderrama, his favourite course, firmly in mind.
The layout rewards precision over power. Fairways are tight but not overly narrow, greens are small and demanding, and large, naturally shaped sandy waste bunkers frame the holes rather than boxing them in. Compared to its sister course Dunas just up the road, Torre plays more as a second-shot test, asking golfers to think their way to the green rather than simply reach it. The pine forest setting and gentle Atlantic breeze add a further layer of decision-making to every approach.
Worth knowing before you book: Torre is still completing its build-out, with the clubhouse, driving range and putting green not yet finished. What's already in the ground is playing in genuinely strong condition, fast, well-maintained greens included, so this is a course worth getting to now, while it's quiet and still finding its final form. For golfers who want to say they played a Sergio García design early, and don't mind roughing it slightly on the facilities side, Torre is the one to book.

Warm welcome at arrival with buggy completely ready to go at the parking lot.
We received a personalized nice looking bag-tag and also a free sandwich and drink which was much appreciated.
Driving range and short game area look fantastic for those who wish to use it.
The starter was very friendly and gave us all necessary information of the course.
After the drive at hole one, we discovered the course and what a course it is.
Just magnificent quality of lay-out, tee-boxes, fairways, bunkers, greens and maintenance!
Looking forward to come back.

Torre is exceptional, everything about it from start to finish is top class and it will only get better as the infrastructure gets built around it.

Again, we were welcomed warmly and were able to get off early behind a twosome and flew around. They were aerating but the greens still rolled well. Driving range, practice green, etc were all top notch. Temporary pro shop and club house at present but that will come. Staff was all terrific. Thank you.

The tees, fairways, and greens are in excellent condition. The fairways are lined with several sand traps, and the greens are well-protected. However, there is no long grass on this course. There are six tees at each hole, offering a nice variety of distances. The course is therefore playable for a wide range of players. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. You’ll never see a mower running while you’re playing. The practice facilities are also excellent. There’s a driving range and several chipping areas. This places the course among the finest in Portugal. In conclusion, you should go there now before this course is discovered by the masses. At the moment, there are more staff members than players on the course.

Brilliant experience - comparable design to Dunas however conditioning at a higher stratosphere. Only slight negative was not being able to practice off turf rather than the mats
