Fairways are very poor compared to other courses we played this week. Greens are fine albeit somewhat slow. Some uneven tee boxes. Buggies are essential. Might be more fun in Summer

We would not Play again this course.
They have too less water to maintance the fairways. So it is in a very bad condition

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. State of course was unacceptable. Large areas were overwatered and therefore muddy. Signage needs to be improved. I would suggest that prospective clients should be made aware that the course is unsuitable for trolleys. Buggies are a must!

Course is in terrible condition except for the greens. No watering anywhere but greens. By far the worst conditioned golf course I have ever seen. Pity, because it could be good. The girl in the pro shop deserves 10 stars. Really helpful.

Very poor. Tees full of weeds. Fairways had no grass at all, like playing off concrete. Some greens had circular cuts in them. Very slow play. Card days 4.40 as average round but took us 5.30 simply because the standard of golf awareness was minimal. Long walks between some tees up very steep hills. Electric trolley if not buggy essential. Won’t be going back nor recommending Campo Real.

Course in not so good conditions, very wet and sometimes not much grass on the fairway. After 2 pm, the course was used for Foot-Golf by Football-players.

Nice course. Lots of spots without much grass though. Maintenance ok. Food in clubhouse was terrible though. Raw hamburger. Fish and chips not crispy. Carpaccio with vinegar. Not good.

When I was there, the course was extremely wet, so carts had to stay on the paths. In this case, an Electro caddy might be better option, but second 9 are very hilly!! and really not easy to walk.

Staff very helpful, got us on the course early ahead of a group that were being transferred from Praia d'el Rey due to fog, everyone asked if we enjoyed the round, and the food afterwards in the terrace is wonderful. The course itself was borderline playable as there hadn't been any rain for 6 months. Given that, the condition of the fairways & greens was excellent, but anywhere off line was a lottery due to the slopes and barren ground, so a ball could easily roll 75 metres away from original landing. The only time we felt it was genuinely penalising was the par 5 18th, landing 3 wood 30 mts short of the green on the fairway only to see it roll back 60 metres downhill. Played there twice now, but would try somewhere different next time.

The staff at the golf club were first class and extremely helpful. We did have a slight hitch waiting for golf carts as a competition that had started in the morning had overrun. The course unfortunately has suffered from the lack of water this summer and on occasion there was no grass to play off which made play difficult. We were late to finish and to our dismay finished the 18th hole only to find that we were unable to eat at the club as it stopped serving food at 18:30. Despite the small niggles we enjoyed ourselves and love the location.

Did enjoy the course - which is a rest course. It was a blowy day so this added to the difficulty of the course. There were quite a few dog-legs on the course with no clue as to what to expect. But it was challenging enough and some great views.

An interesting layout and need to play a few times before you know where you are going. Pro-shop service the best of all 3. Electric trolleys for hire would be a welcome addition as the course is very hilly making pull trolleys difficult to maneovre. There were some people in the clubhouse bar outside near the 18th green as we putted who were making noise and taking photos of themselves standing on the green as we putted out. They were also touching the green to test it out. I thought this was very rude and the marshall who was there should have told them to wait until we had finished.
