Beautiful course, quite difficult a week after the Portuguese Open, fast greens and heavy rough.
Ground staff very helpful.
Course in good condition.
Long hold ups, slow play

Great course.
However, the low availability of buggies is a bit of a shame, especially if you have such long ways between the holes (e.g. from 1 to 2!)

Very nice and interesting golf course, well maintained and the greens are fantastic. A cart is recommended. The service in the clubhouse was ok. I would appreciate more informations from the reception and more interest from the side of teh caddie master. I boked a set of left handed golf clubs got it and realised at the driving range that the iron 8 was missing. I went back and aksed the caddie master and he just told me that someone lost it a week ago.

Due to exceptional rainfall to hit the area over the last month the course was sodden. Not sure it should have been open for play. Thanks to the staff for working on Xmas day so that we could play.

Nice course. Very, very slow. 4 hours so far and still have 3 holes to play. Course Marshall is useless

Fairways a bit patchy but otherwise in good condition.
Pace of play on Front 9 was incredibly slow (~2h45). It seems they had people start on 10 earlier and didn‘t manage the gap properly (i.e. no marshall on course)
Back 9 pace was ok because a couple of fights in front of us finished their round on 9.

Teetime was changed to 20 minutes later without any notice. We were on time at TEE nr 1 , 5 min after our teetime caddymaster told us that we needed to start at hole 10, no one told us that. We reserved 3 buggies, we had to wait to pick them up 10 min before departure. Then the caddymaster told us to get keys at reception. Not the relaxed manner to start your 18 holes. Terrible . Course it self was as usual very good.

Course was very busy. Golf reception and buggies gave good service, the starter didn’t!! The course itself looked a little scruffy and short of maintenance. The whole experience was average and did not compare well with West Cliffs. See next review……

We were paired up with a couple who were only playing 9 holes. Then ended up behind a four ball who would not let us through. 4.5 hour round was too long

We had two sets of very slow four balls in front of us, and no marshals in sight to hurry them up (they spent ages looking for balls they should have stopped looking for after a minute or so). At one point we had four sets of players on one hole! It meant a very slow 18 holes for me and my playing partner, and it was difficult to get into a rhythm, constantly waiting for people to make headway in front of us. We had a buggy and the particularly slow four ball directly in front of us did not, which didn't help. However, on a positive note, the course is fantastic with stunning scenery and the food/drinks before and after was good! Thoroughly enjoyed playing, despite having to wait frequently.

Course was in poorer condition than last year with the greens all subject to heavy use of sand although I do appreciate that due to COVID reducing the player count last year it is more than likely that much use which has ensued this year has led to much wear and tear

The varied landscape and natural terrain was maintained undisturbed as possible to create an unique and world class 18-hole seaside links golf course alongside the silver coast. Rolling sand dunes interspersed with coastal vegetation, while the pine groves overlook the ocean from above. This privileged and exclusive location will mesmerize and challenge you to tame the forces of nature and perfect your game. The West Cliffs opted for numerical tees instead of colors, so we have 5 options for the starting tees 63; 59,51; 51; 47 indicative of the distance of the golf course. Our round took over 5 hours to complete which is far too long. The course is very demanding and challenging even for a competent golfer let alone high handicappers. The difficulty was increased by pin positions being placed where even the pro's would struggle. Watching playing partners struggle to 4 putt from 10 to 15ft was painful and miserable. The pin positions on 2,3,6,7,8,10,11,13,15,16 were far too extreme. The club needs to understand that they have a course that although visually stunning needs to be set up for the majority not the minority otherwise 5 hour rounds become the norm. Grahame (8 handicap)

One of the most beautiful courses I’ve ever played and very well maintained! I will definitely go back! Improvement opportunities are the buggy’s are need to be replaced in my opinion with a digital screen. Very common in the U. S. Especially for this course as there are a few holes where you really can’t see the fairway very well and some blind spots too! A digital screen can share info about each hole, distance and electronic score keeping just to name a few benefits. The clubhouse was pretty week compared to other courses I’ve played in Portugal. Minimal chooses if you need balls and the ladies were very nice but appeared to be more receptionist and just collecting money from what I could see. It’s also very small!

Lovely golf course but took 5 hours 15 minutes for our round which is way too much. They need to have Marshall’s out on the course to speed play up. 4 hours 30 minutes should be plenty of time for a round

First time playing. Nice in crowded day. Maybe not as pristine or as challenging as other courses in the area but a nice course nonetheless. Check-in was pleasant and helpful. Clubhouse and restaurant was simple but very nice, as was the tosta and beer after my round. Will return again. Great value for the money.
